The 3rd IMMUPARKNET Annual Conference will take place in 5-7 April 2025 at NOVA Medical School, in Lisbon, PORTUGAL. This conference will include a Management Committee meeting, an update on the different WG activities, scientific presentations of selected posters and oral communications, and other activities.
How to Organise travel
As with all COST events, participants are asked to organise and pay for, their own travel and accommodation. Those who are eligible will then receive reimbursement for these expenses in accordance with COST Association rules. The Annual Conference is being held at NOVA Medical School, located at Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, in the heart of Lisbon City Centre, near downtown and most touristic attractions. There are several accommodation options that can be found within walking distance from the venue.
Social Events
On April 5th, a social dinner with a welcome drink will be hosted at Casa do Alentejo, a typical restaurant and place at a walking distance from the meeting venue. Besides the welcome drink, the dinner will include starters, a soup, two-meal course and dessert, as well as drinks (red and white wine, beer, juices, water, coffee). The dinner is not mandatory for attendees but registration for it is necessary in advance.
Besides the dinner, a walking city tour on April 6th will be organised for participants willing to join it. Depending on the number of participants, the price per person may vary and will last for 2-2h30. The walking tour is not mandatory for attendees but registration for it is necessary in advance.
The lunches during the meeting will be paid with the support of Turismo de Lisboa. If needed, a small contribution to support the difference between the value of the lunches and the support gathered from Turismo may be asked to participants upon check-in at the event.
Reimbursement
As mentioned above, COST Actions are able to provide reimbursement for attending their conferences and events. This reimbursement does not require participants to present their work, although we do encourage you to do so. Full details on the reimbursement process can be found in the attachments below. Please read them carefully.
Registration and Abstract Submission
The Conference will feature both Oral and Poster presentations of our participants’ work. Participants selected to join Lisbon event will receive a registration form specifically dedicated to it. We remind you that abstract submission is not mandatory but strongly advisable to increase networking and scientific relevance of the meeting. The deadline for registration and abstract submission is 31st December 2024. The abstracts will be reviewed by a IMMUPARKNET Scientific Committee and all applicants will be informed of whether their abstract has been accepted or otherwise.
Invited Speakers
Besides IMMUPARKNET members, Prof. Tilo Kunnath, Dr. Michela Deleidi, Dr. Sandra Morais Cardoso, Prof. Vania Broccoli and Prof. Chi Wang Ip will be invited speakers at the event. Representatives from the industry, Michael J. Fox Foundation, and Parkinson Europe will also join our event in a Round Table discussion.
